Who we are

Aaina is a beauty salon and jewellery shop at 607–609 Cathcart Road, Govanhill, Glasgow G42 8AD. The salon is operated by Sai Ram Glasgow Ltd and the jewellery shop by NMJ Business Ltd.

This website is the salon’s, so for anything you send through it, Sai Ram Glasgow Ltd is the data controller — the business responsible for your information. You can reach us on 0141 423 9500, by email at hello@aainaglasgow.co.uk, or in the shop.

What we collect, and why

There are only three ways we end up with your details.

If you send a bridal enquiry. The form asks for your name and email, and optionally your phone number, your wedding date and what you’re looking for. We use it to reply to you and to plan a trial. Nothing else.

If you sign up for offers. We keep your email address and a record that you ticked the box, so we can show that you asked to hear from us. You can unsubscribe at any time and we’ll stop.

If you book or come in. We take the details needed to run the appointment — usually a name and phone number. For treatments where it matters, such as a patch test, colour, laser or a peel, we’ll ask about your skin, allergies, medication or pregnancy. That’s health information, we ask for it only because the treatment requires it, and we use it to keep you safe.

Our lawful basis

For replying to an enquiry and running your appointment: performing a contract with you, or taking steps at your request before one.

For marketing emails: your consent, which you give by ticking the box and can withdraw whenever you like.

For health information gathered before a treatment: your explicit consent, given at the consultation.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Two suppliers handle it in order to run this website: Vercel, which hosts the site, and Resend, which delivers the emails the forms generate. Both act on our instructions.

The contact page shows a Google map. That map is loaded from Google inside its own frame, so if you open that page Google will receive your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy rather than ours. No other page loads anything from a third party.

We’ll also share information where the law requires it, or where we need to in order to establish or defend a legal claim.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel and no tracking of any kind — we don’t know who you are or which pages you looked at. The typefaces are served from our own site, not from Google.

The only exception is the Google map described above, which behaves as Google’s embeds do wherever they appear.

How long we keep it

Enquiries: while we’re talking, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us.

Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe.

Appointment and treatment records, including patch tests: for as long as we need them to look after you safely and to meet our insurance and legal obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we’re using it, ask us to restrict it, or ask for it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time — that doesn’t undo anything done beforehand.

Just ask, in the shop or on 0141 423 9500. It costs nothing and we’ll respond within a month.

If you think we’ve got it wrong, please tell us so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If we start doing something new with your information — a booking system, or anything that tracks visits — we’ll update this page before we switch it on.
